Ohio State rises six spots to No. 8 in AP women's basketball poll

Ohio State’s win over then-No. 5 Tennessee last Tuesday helped it rise six spots to No. 8 in this week’s Associated Press poll. Ohio State was the biggest riser in the second Associated Press women’s basketball poll of the season, which was released Monday afternoon. After being ranked 14th in the preseason poll, the Buckeyes rose six spots to No. 8 on the back of a 2-0 opening week. Last Tuesday, they beat then-No. 5 Tennessee 87-75 in a statement season-opening win. Tennessee dropped six places to land at No. 11 in this week’s poll.
