COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Gophers volleyball team appears to be rounding into form for next week’s NCAA tournament just in time. Minnesota, ranked No. 9, avenged a previous loss to No. 8 Ohio State on Friday, taking down the Buckeyes in four sets at Vovelli Center, winning 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 26-24. Ohio State swept the U in three sets in their first meeting, back on Oct. 12 at Maturi Pavilion. This time, Taylor Landfair led the Gophers (19-8, 14-5 Big Ten) with 25 kills and nine digs, and Carter Booth went for a career-high 13 kills and seven blocks. CC McGraw led the backcourt with a season-high 20 digs, while Melani Shaffmaster had 53 assists and 16 digs. Emily Londot led Ohio State (19-8, 15-4) with 19 kills.
