COLUMBUS, Ohio — It may have taken him a little longer than he anticipated, but Omari Abor can now call himself an ‘official’ Ohio State football player after losing his black stripe. Abor was one of the last players to join the Buckeyes’ 2022 recruiting class as the nation’s No 63 player and No. 6 edge rusher out of Texas. He didn’t commit until Jan. 2 during the Under Armor All-American game, then enrolled this summer. The former four-star recruit was limited to just eight snaps against Arkansas State this season as he spent most of the year on the unavailability report. Earlier this season, he revealed through his Instagram account that he underwent surgery on his knee. It’s forced him to redshirt this season.
