COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football program has often used the transfer portal as a way to find plug-and-play additions that can immediately fix a problem. Quarterback Justin Fields, offensive lineman Jonah Jackson, running back Trey Sermon and most recently, safety Tanner McCallister have filled those roles as additions-turned-immediate starters.
