What Lincoln Kienholz’s commitment means to Ohio State football: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has started to make a habit out of needing to find a quarterback late in a recruiting cycle, though the reasons for why always vary. The Buckeyes needed to go get C.J. Stroud in the 2020 class once it was clear they’d need to bring in another player alongside Jack Miller. When Quinn Ewers decided to show up earlier than expected, it put the program back on the market for a 2022 quarterback, zeroing in on Devin Brown. Now Lincoln Kienholz becomes the latest name on that list after flipping from Washington. He replaces Brock Glenn, who flipped to Florida State in November. Ideally, OSU would rather not have to be scrambling to find a quarterback less than a month before Signing Day.
