For the first time in two years, Ohio State will participate in the annual CBS Sports Classic. After a COVID-19 outbreak forced the Buckeyes to withdraw from last year’s scheduled game against Kentucky in Las Vegas, Ohio State will head to Madison Square Garden for a showdown with North Carolina on Saturday afternoon. The game is the first in a doubleheader that will pit No. 13 Kentucky against No. 16 UCLA. In seven appearances in the CBS Sports Classic, Ohio State holds a 4-3 record that is only topped by North Carolina at 5-3. The Tar Heels have won both matchups between the teams in the event. Ohio State has not played at Madison Square Garden since the 2018 Big Ten tournament.
