Ohio State football targets a transfer portal tight end with Big Ten experience

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s most pressing transfer portal need remains offensive line, but the Buckeyes are considering additions elsewhere, too. CJ Dippre told 247 Sports that OSU and Alabama are his top two teams. The Maryland transfer target visited Columbus this past weekend and visited Alabama a week earlier. He did not give a timetable for a decision. Dippre totaled 314 yards and three touchdowns on 30 receptions last season for the Terrapins. That included 30 yards and a touchdown on four receptions against OSU. The 6-5, 260-pound Pennsylvania native did not have an OSU offer when he came out of Jermyn Lakeland High School as a three-star prospect ranked No. 893 overall. He played all 13 games as a true freshman and started all 12 games this season.
