Ohio State's roster nearing full health as Gene Brown III inches closer to season debut

Ohio State could dress its most complete roster of the year when it hosts Maine on Wednesday. Gene Brown III, a third-year wing, is trending toward making his season debut after an offseason and preseason fraught with injuries. One of only two players on this year’s team to have played in more than two games for the Buckeyes a season ago, Brown has missed the first 10 games of the season while recovering from a concussion suffered during the preseason. Brown has been in street clothes on the Ohio State bench in recent weeks, traveled with the team to Maui and even participated in a luau while there but has not been able to practice until recently. “Gene’s making progress,” coach Chris Holtmann said Monday. “Expect his return shortly.
