MASSILLON — Willtrell Hartson made this a memorable Christmas for himself. The Massillon senior running back, who earned first-team All-Ohio honors and was Canton Repository Stark County Player of the Year, accepted a preferred walk-on spot at Ohio State. He made the announcement on Christmas Eve. Hartson had plenty of Division I scholarship offers, recently receiving ones from UAB and Saint Francis. He had an offer from Power Five school Boston College, as well as Mid-American Conference schools Central Michigan, Buffalo, Miami and Toledo. Other schools that offered him include Marshall, Georgia Southern, Army, Southern Illinois, Illinois State and Temple.
