Despite losing to No. 1 Purdue at home, Ohio State men’s basketball seemed to gain a new high-profile fan Thursday night. After a 3-point make by Purdue freshman Fletcher Loyer secured the Boilermakers’ 71-69 win against the Buckeyes, Brooklyn Nets power forward Kevin Durant tweeted how impressed he was by the ranked Big Ten matchup. “Thats a tough win on the road by Purdue,” Durant tweeted Thursday night. “Ohio State got some young hoopers over there, that (Big Ten) is some good bump.” Three of Ohio State’s “young hoopers” — Brice Sensabaugh, Bruce Thornton and Felix Okpara — played at least 27 minutes for the Buckeyes Thursday night, combining for 34 of the team’s 69 points.
