One day removed from a second consecutive loss and three days before hosting Minnesota, Ohio State men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann held his weekly radio show Monday. It was a difficult week for the Buckeyes, who dropped a 71-69 loss to No. 1 Purdue on Jan. 5 at Value City Arena and then went to Maryland and took an 80-73 loss on Sunday afternoon. The losses dropped Ohio State to 10-5 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten and mostly came without the services of third-year center and starter Zed Key, who suffered a left shoulder sprain in the opening minutes of the Purdue game and watched the Maryland game from the bench in street clothes.
