Ohio State finished No. 4 in the final Associated Press poll released early Tuesday morning. It marked the fifth time in six seasons that the Buckeyes ended in the top five. The exception came last season when they were No. 6 in the AP’s final rankings following a two-loss regular season led them to miss out on a berth in the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes, who returned to the playoff this past fall and finished with an 11-2 record, have had a final top-10 ranking for nine straight years. Georgia, which routed TCU in 65-7 drubbing in the national championship game on Monday night, was atop the final poll ahead of the Horned Frogs at No. 2 and Michigan at No. 3.
