Gophers earn first Big Ten win, 70-67, at Ohio State

After knocking on the door in the previous two games, the Gophers men’s basketball team broke through for its first Big Ten win of the season Thursday. Minnesota held a lead over the Buckeyes for the majority of the game but needed three clutch free throws in the final 10 seconds to earn a 70-67 win at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The Gophers (7-8 overall) had endured four straight conference losses, including the last two by a combined five points to Wisconsin and in overtime against Nebraska last week.
