Ohio State long snapper Mason Arnold announced his transfer commitment to the Spartans via Twitter on Saturday. The redshirt freshman entered the portal on Jan. 1, a day after the Buckeyes lost to Georgia in a College Football Playoff semifinal. Arnold, 6-foot-0 and 228 pounds, arrived at Ohio State in 2021 as a walk-on and redshirted as a true freshman. He took over as the Buckeyes’ starter this season after seventh-year senior Bradley Robinson suffered a season-ending injury in an Oct. 22 win against Iowa. Arnold, a graduate of Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, Fla., was listed as the No. 6 long snapper in the nation as a senior by Kornblue Kicking.
