As Bruce Thornton broke his recent scoring slump with a career-high 22 points against the Michigan Wolverines Sunday, he also did something that freshmen don’t typically do for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Head coach Chris Holtmann said Monday the team revoted on its captains “just a couple days ago,” and Thornton was tabbed as one of the Buckeyes’ captains for the final eight regular season games. “I wanted our guys to have a say in revoting for the leadership on the team,” Holtmann said. “I just thought it was a good time to do it, and they revoted and he got a significant number of votes.
