Purdue basketball snaps out of funk in dominant win over Ohio State

WEST LAFAYETTE ? Purdue found the remedy for its recent road woes. The feel of a full Mackey Arena crowd that still backs the Boilermakers, who’d lost three of their last four. Behind a big day from Zach Edey, No. 3 Purdue avoided a third-straight loss with a much-needed victory against the struggling Ohio State Buckeyes 82-55. Ohio State was 10-3 when the Buckeyes hosted Purdue on Jan. 5. The Boilers won that game on a late Fletcher Loyer 3-pointer, the start of a stretch where Ohio State has now lost 13 of the last 14 games and eight in a row.
