Former Ohio State Buckeyes guard Duane Washington Jr. was signed by the New York Knicks Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Washington averaged 7.9 points in 31 games with the Phoenix Suns but was waived by them on Feb. 1. Being on a two-way contract, Washington will receive 50 percent of the league minimum and be eligible to play in the Knicks’ final 19 regular-season games. He will be ineligible to play in the postseason. The Grand Rapids, MI. native averaged 16.4 points in his junior season at Ohio State, contributing almost half of his 1,073 career points in his final year with the program.
