Their latest target is 2024 athlete Cai Bates, who was offered a scholarship today. The 6-foot, 2-inch, 175-pound two-way star isn’t highly ranked, just a 3-star on the 247Sports composite, but that isn’t the whole story. Bates offer list shows he’s much better than his current ranking, recently top schools like Alabama, NC State, and Florida State entered the mix. It looks like OSU is recruiting Bates as a defensive back, as he tagged secondary coach Tim Walton upon announcing the offer.
