Two Ohio State women in the football program got a step closer to their NFL dreams

INDIANAPOLIS — Two Ohio State Buckeyes were at the NFL combine this week, trying to advance their football careers. They even met NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. On Tuesday, they’ll both be back in Columbus helping Ohio State football start spring practice. Candace Johnson, Ohio State football’s coordinator of player engagement; and Katie Allen, an OSU student who is an audio and video assistant for the football team, were two of the 41 women who took part in the NFL Women’s Careers in Football Forum on Tuesday and Wednesday. The event was held as part of the combine for the seventh time, with the goal of connecting women in football with leaders in the NFL.
