The Ohio State women’s basketball team lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes Sunday night in the Big Ten Championship game, 105-69. The Buckeyes finished shooting 35% from the floor as a team, and 31% from three-point range. Additionally, Ohio State went 14-of-22 from the free-throw line (64%) compared to Iowa’s 83% on 24-of-29. The Hawkeyes outscored the Buckeyes in three of the game’s four quarters, with the largest margin being in the first, 25-9. Ohio State got the better of Iowa coming out of halftime, 30-22. Senior guard Taylor Mikesell led the Buckeyes in scoring with 24 points, followed closely by freshman guard Cotie McMahon with 23. McMahon also had seven rebounds, which were the most on the team.
