A new program record and a national champion — again. Ohio State Buckeyes track and field star Adelaide Aquilla’s 19.28-meter shot put throw at the NCAA Championships in Albuquerque, NM. Saturday broke the program’s previous indoor record of 19.09 meters — which she also owned — as she took home her fourth national championship of her career. The graduate from Rocky River, OH. now has two indoor and two outdoor national championships for shot put, owning the women’s collegiate shot put record in which she threw 19.64 meters at the 2022 Outdoor NCAA Championships.
