Ohio State's Adelaide Aquilla sets program record, wins 4th NCAA championship in shot put

Ohio State’s Adelaide Aquilla won her fourth national championship in shot put at the 2023 NCAA indoor championships this weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In the final round of her final meet as a Buckeye, Ohio State’s Adelaide Aquilla captured a fourth NCAA championship in the shot put, breaking her own program record with a throw of 19.28 meters. The former walk-on from Rocky River, Ohio, has now exhausted her eligibility. “She has really persevered this year, but has never made excuses or retreated from the work,” said Ohio State track and field director Rosalind Joseph. “She just shows up every day with the will of a champion, and that showed today.
