Ohio State football assistant Tim Walton received a big raise and a new title for 2023

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tim Walton’s big raise for the 2023 season comes with a new title for Ohio State football. © David Petkiewicz/cleveland.com/TNS Tim Walton, Ohio State cornerbacks coach Walton is now the Buckeyes’ defensive passing game coordinator, an OSU spokesperson confirmed to cleveland.com. His amended contract, which included a $300,000 raise to an even $1 million, referred to him as “assistant head coach” as opposed to “assistant football coach” on his original contract. Walton was listed as secondary coach in his first season on the staff. His amended contract runs through the 2024 season.
