DULUTH, Minn. – The words of day for the Wisconsin women’s hockey team Saturday were rest and recovery. One day after beating Minnesota in an overtime in a semifinal at the Frozen Four, the Badgers passed on their allotted ice time at AMSOIL Arena in favor of giving their bodies a break. UW coach Mark Johnson took a similar approach when his team won the title two years ago. “A bunch of them played a bunch of minutes last night,” he said. “I know as a former player sometimes you get sick and tired of putting your equipment on. We’ll find out tomorrow during the game what kind of energy we have. I’m sure it will be real high.
