North Carolina women’s basketball withstood a first-round challenge from St. John’s on Saturday and needs one more win to reach the Sweet 16. The No. 6-seeded Tar Heels (22-10) will face No. 3-seeded Ohio State (26-7) on the Buckeyes’ home court in the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday (4 p.m., ESPN). Ohio State, ranked 12th in The AP Top 25, started the season with 19 straight wins, a program record that included victories over Tennessee, Louisville, Oregon and Michigan. The Buckeyes stumbled later in the season, losing five of seven in their weakest stretch while senior guard Jacy Sheldon was sidelined with a foot injury.
