Ohio State women set to face UConn in Sweet 16 on Saturday in Seattle

Ohio State’s Sweet 16 matchup is set. The No. 3 seed Buckeyes, who beat No. 6 North Carolina 71-69 on Monday after senior point guard Jacy Sheldon made the game-winning shot with 1 second left, will play No. 2 UConn at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. The game will be on ABC. If Ohio State manages to pull off the upset against the Huskies, it would play the winner of No. 1 Virginia Tech and No. 4 Tennessee on Monday, at a time to be determined. The Buckeyes opened the season against Tennessee in early November and won 87-75. For the 2023 women’s NCAA Tournament, there are just two regional sites, as opposed to the four sites in years past.
