Ohio State University Ladies defeats Xavier in the NCAA Regional firsts round!


Ohio State University women’s tennis team shut out Xavier, 4-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday afternoon at the Auer Tennis Complex in Columbus. The Buckeyes, now 21-7 on the year, will take on Vanderbilt today, at 4 p.m. for a spot in the Round of 16. Admission and parking are free. The Commodores beat ETSU 4-0 in the other first-round match in Columbus. Against the Musketeers, the Buckeyes won the doubles point with 6-1 victories and then captured three straight-set singles matches to advance. Isabelle Boulais won in singles and doubles, while Kolie Allen and Danielle Willson also were victorious in singles. Irina Cantos Siemers, Shelly Bereznyak and Lucia Marzal were part of doubles wins.
