The calculation that proves Ohio State football can win a national championship in 2023

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football once again ranks among the nation’s best at piling up a championship level of talent. The 2023 version of the annual Blue Chip Ratio, compiled by Bud Elliott at 247 Sports, ranks Ohio State second to only Alabama in accumulation of talent. The ratio compares the number of four and five-star prospects a program signed compared to two and three-star players. Alabama checked in at 90% of its scholarships going to four or five-stars. Ohio State was second at 85%. Two-time defending national champion Georgia, at 77%, was the only other program above a three-fourths ratio.
