
The Sam Hartman era at Notre Dame couldn’t have gotten off to a much better start. Hartman has been flawless through the first three games of the season, and he will look to continue rolling on Saturday when the ninth-ranked Fighting Irish face Central Michigan in South Bend, Ind. After a spectacular five seasons at Wake Forest, Hartman hasn’t skipped a beat at Notre Dame (3-0). He is tied for the second-most passing touchdowns in the FBS (10) this season while throwing for the sixth-most yards (731), doing so without a single interception. Hartman is coming off a performance in which he completed 15 of 24 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns against North Carolina State last Saturday, propelling the Irish to a 45-24 victory.
