Ohio State football’s tone-setting cornerback eager to visit Notre Dame proving ground: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football cornerback Denzel Burke had no trouble immediately flipping the switch from shutdown of Western Kentucky to potentially season-turning trip to Notre Dame. “That’s been circled on my list since the beginning of the season,” Burke said. “Got a couple more games circled, but that’s gonna be a big one that’s gonna test us — and we’re ready.” Burke earned OSU’s defensive player of the game honors after collecting two pass breakups, a tackle and a forced fumble. He shared it with linebacker Tommy Eichenberg a week earlier after securing the first interception of the season. He could gave won it for the season opener, too, after breaking up a pair of passes at Indiana.
