
Sarah Weber scored two goals to lift the Nebraska soccer team to a 2-1 win against Ohio State on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. Weber scored the lone goal of the first half as two former Nebraska high school soccer stars linked up for a score. Abbey Schwarz, an Omaha Roncalli graduate, sent a cross into the box where Weber poked it in. Ohio State’s Emma Sears scored the tying goal in the 76th minute. In its Big Ten opener last week, Nebraska allowed a late goal, resulting in a draw. Weber made sure that didn’t happen again. The Gretna graduate scored in the 78th minute. Schwarz dribbled downfield and dished to Florence Belzile, who passed to Weber. Nebraska’s offense was aggressive Thursday night.
