COLUMBUS, Ohio — Much of Saturday evening at Ohio Stadium felt like filler content. The Buckeyes had to continue their improvements offensively, but only so that they could more easily be replicated next week against a far better defense. The defense had little to prove, and it would’ve been hard to learn anything new before the matchup on Nov. 25. The job was simple: Get in and get out healthy and ready for next week. Ohio State played its role perfectly, jumping out to a four-touchdown lead in the first few minutes of the third quarter, starting a countdown to the end of the game, and more importantly, to Michigan Week. Ohio State’s 37-3 win over Minnesota felt like it mattered little in the moment, and now in the aftermath, it matters essentially nothing — except for the fact that the Buckeyes can add another number to their win total.…
