COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State might have stepped closer to earning a commitment from a 2024 offensive lineman. Gabe VanSickle, an interior offensive line prospect, de-committed from Northwestern on Tuesday night. He has taken two visits to Columbus in the last month, as the Buckeyes have been eyeing a fourth offensive lineman in their class. Ohio State now feels like the massive favorite to land the Coopersville, Michigan native, especially considering what the last few weeks and months have looked like. VanSickle is the No. 613 player in the 247Sports composite rankings and the No. 41 ranked interior offensive lineman, and the No. 13 player in Michigan. He is rated as a three-star recruit. Should he commit to Ohio State, he would be the fourth, and potentially final, commit of the 2024 class.
