Jeremiah Smith, No. 1 recruit for 2024, says schools are using NIL deals to try and flip his commitment

Jeremiah Smith is widely regarded as a generational talent and the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect for the 2024 recruiting class. A 5-star wide receiver out of Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Florida, Smith has been committed to Ohio State for a year. However, he has received and entertained plenty of interest from the key Florida schools throughout his recruitment. Heading into Early Signing Day, Smith has maintained his commitment to Ohio State. Still, there is some uncertainty about a potential flip to Florida, Florida State or Miami. In fact, Smith’s father, Chris, told 247 Sports recently he won’t know his son’s ultimate decision until he signs on Wednesday.
