The National Championship Game presents a nightmare scenario for Ohio State football: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is headed into probably its most pivotal offseason under the leadership of Ryan Day with more questions than answers about its place in college football. While it does so, it’ll have to watch a National Championship Game next Monday that presents the worst possible scenario for its program. Its rival Michigan finally broke through on the College Football Playoff stage by closing out the four-team playoff era the same way OSU once opened it by knocking off Alabama on its way to the title game. Waiting for them will Washington, a program that will start planning for life in the Big Ten the moment the clock hits zero. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes will be sitting at home wondering what’s next.
