Defensive end Tyquan Lewis went public this morning with his decision to return to Ohio State for his senior season, but hybrid back Curtis Samuel apparently has opted to bolt for the NFL, according to a report.Samuel could not be reached for comment, but the website 247sports.com said Monday morning that the junior — the only player in major-college football to top 700 yards gained in both rushing and receiving in 2016 — will forgo his senior season in favor of turning pro. Insiders had said OSU coaches had tried to convince Samuel he would be well served by returning and concentrating on playing receiver in 2017. As it was, he led the team in catches last season by more than double with 74, for 865 yards and seven touchdowns.
