Ex-St. Thomas star Joey Bosa ranked No. 1 on ESPN’s Top 100 list

Ohio State junior defensive end Joey Bosa, the former St. Thomas Aquinas star, has been ranked the No. 1 college football player in the country by ESPN. Bosa was a consensus All-American as a sophomore last season, helping Ohio State win a national championship. He had 13.5 sacks and 21 tackles for loss, and was named 2014 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Bosa, a dominant pass-rusher, is expected to be among the top picks in next year’s NFL Draft if he decides to leave school early. Bosa is among four Ohio State players suspended for the opener at Virginia Tech, the only team that beat the Buckeyes in 2014. Bosa is the son of former Miami Dolphins defensive end John Bosa. Bosa’s younger brother, Nick, also a star at St. Thomas Aquinas, last month committed to attend to Ohio State. You can see ESPN’s full list of Top 100 college football players here.
