Western Kentucky OL, a freshman All-American, charged with DUI

Western Kentucky offensive lineman Brandon Ray, a freshman All-American last season, was charged July 9 with careless driving and an aggravated count of first-offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, the Bowling Green Daily News reported. Roy, 20, was stopped at 11:29 p.m. by a Warren County Sheriff’s Office when he was spotted driving the wrong way down a one-way street. The deputy administered several sobriety tests, all of which Ray failed. He was taken to Warren County Detention Center, where he registered a 0.162 percent blood alcohol content level almost an hour after he was pulled over. According to the Daily News, the arrest is Ray’s second alcohol-related incident in a year. He was cited Sept. 1 for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a person between ages 18-20 and possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle by the Bowling Green Police Department. …
