College football rankings: Ohio State Buckeyes remain on top

The College football AP Poll released its preseason version of the Top 25 on Sunday. The top six teams are represented by three conferences. However, the PAC-12 has a pair of teams in the top 10 as well. Florida State is the lone ACC team in the top 10, ahead of Clemson. Overall, the SEC has three teams in the Top 10.

As expected, the Ohio State Buckeyes were ranked the No.1 team in the country. Surprisingly, the Buckeyes received all 61 first place votes. Ohio State is attempting to win back to back national championships, but this time they have an opportunity to do it wire to wire.

The TCU Horned Frogs are the No.2 team in the country. After losing out on the selection process in the inaugural College Football Playoff, the Horned Frogs don’t have to worry about impressing voters this time around. They have the attention of everybody in college football. With 10 starters back on the offensive end, TCU might have the best offense in the country.
