Alabama jumps Ohio State in second playoff ranking

The second College Football Playoff Top 25 was revealed Tuesday night, and the Ohio State Buckeyes were still ranked No. 3. Notre Dame has, according to Jeff Long the chairman of the college football playoff committee, solidified theirselves in the number four slot. The Ohio State Buckeyes remain undefeated but we haven’t seen the best from Urban Meyer’s team yet this year and as a result aren’t worthy of their No. 3 ranking by the College Football Playoff committee. Disputing the idea Notre Dame is in if it wins out: On the ESPN rankings show, analyst Kirk Herbstreit strongly opined that No. 4 Notre Dame will make the playoff if it wins out. But the Bears still must play No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 12 Oklahoma and No. 15 TCU. The Tigers could move back into the top four should it win out and if Alabama loses one of its remaining two Southeastern Conference games at No. …
