AP Source: Rutgers Agrees to Hire Ohio State’s Ash as Coach

A person who has been briefed on the decision tells The Associated Press that Rutgers has an agreement with Ohio State defensive coordinator Chris Ash to become the Scarlet Knights’ new coach.The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal was still pending approval by the university’s board of governors. A news conference to introduce Ash is expected Monday.SI.com was first to report Ash would be the next coach at Rutgers.The 41-year-old Ash has been with the Buckeyes the last two seasons, revamping a defense that had struggled before he was hired by Urban Meyer.
