By the time Ohio State tailback Ezekiel Elliott scored the third of four TDs in the first half in a 44-28 win against Notre Dame at the BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl on Friday, one had to wonder right away. How would the Buckeyes have fared against either Clemson or Alabama the night before? Ohio State looked a lot like a playoff contender against Michigan and Notre Dame. In those two wins, J.T. Barrett totaled 324 passing yards, 235 rushing yards and 5 TDs. Elliott had 366 rushing yards and six TDs.
