Penn State men’s basketball travels to Ohio State

After missing an opportunity for revenge last week, Penn State will face a quick turnaround against another team that troubled them last season. The Nittany Lions (11-9, 2-5 Big Ten) take on Ohio State (12-8, 4-3 Big Ten) at 7 p.m. Monday in Columbus, after falling to Wisconsin last Thursday. The Lions lost by 10 and 20 points in two contests against the Buckeyes last year. This year’s Buckeyes squad might be even better. They’re one of four teams to knock off Kentucky this year, and the Wildcats were No. 4 at the time of the game. However, they’ve lost three of their last four within the conference. Last season’s Buckeyes squad, which won 75-55 in Columbus and 77-67 in Happy Valley, ran its offense through guard D’Angelo Russell, who now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. Russell led the Buckeyes with 28 points during their win at the Bryce Jordan Center last season. This season’s Buckeyes feature a more balanced scoring attack, with six players totaling over 100 points this season.
