The Ohio State Buckeyes are hosting the Michigan Wolverines in Big Ten College Basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Wolverines listed as a tiny favorite to pick up the win, though Ohio State opened as a small favorite themselves in this one. Michigan and Ohio State have a great rivalry going on the hardwood. It might not live up to the expectations of the football programs, but it’s still pretty strong. Michigan just picked up its biggest win of the season on Saturday at home over Purdue, a game they really had to have in order to help bolster the resume. The Wolverines don’t have a single bad loss on the schedule, its worst RPI defeat came to Connecticut and the Huskies have a Top 50 RPI (43). Ohio State would be the “worst” loss of the season for the Wolverines with an RPI of 83, though the Buckeyes are playing well in two straight wins over Northwestern and Rutgers. Thad Matta’s team has been strong at home this season as well, going 12-4 on their own court. Michigan has been OK on the road at 4-3, but the best road win for the season came at NC State at the beginning of December. …
