It appears much of the nation agrees. The Buckeyes rank as the most hated college football team in America, according to an unofficial poll conducted by Reddit, which built a “hate map” out of nearly 5,000 votes. “In-depth” voting results show 11.3% of the United States hates Ohio State, followed by Alabama and Michigan, tied in second place at 9.2%. Texas (6.3%) and Florida (5.9%) round out the top five. Okay, so maybe a poll of around 5,000 people shouldn’t be considered a barometer for a country of more than 300 million people. But these results sort of make sense. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has rubbed his opponents the wrong way for a long time, dating back to his coaching days at Florida, and is a blistering 50-4 in four years with the Buckeyes. They also won a national championship just two seasons ago. …
