Jim Harbaugh Fires Back at Ohio State Athletic Director Over Spring Break Comments

Another week, another story about Jim Harbaugh responding to critics of Michigan football‘s spring break trip to Florida. Michigan’s brief occupancy of IMG Academy in Florida might be over, but it continues to stay in the conversation. On Tuesday morning, Ohio State’s Athletic Director Gene Smith was asked about holding spring practices in Florida. He responded by saying that Michigan’s program is in the middle of a jump-start. Michigan is still rebuilding under Harbaugh, and at the time being Ohio State still dominates the football rivalry. Even with Michigan’s successful season last year, it’s hard to refute Smith’s implication that the Buckeyes are still at least a step ahead of Michigan. Of course, many expected this would draw out Jim Harbaugh’s ever-entertaining Twitter account to take aim right back at Smith. Michigan’s coach would definitely take exception to Smith’s comments. His response did not disappoint. Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. …
