And yes, Ohio State’s athletic director did reference Allen Iverson’s iconic rant Monday while responding to a question about Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh. Buckeyes athletic director Gene Smith was asked about Harbaugh’s idea to hold spring practices in Florida when he named-dropped the Sixers’ star guard. Smith agrees with Ohio State coach Urban Meyer — he’s not entirely opposed to the idea, but he wouldn’t want to send players to the Sunshine State during their spring break. “We’re talking about spring practice. What’s my man’s name? Allen Iverson? We’re talking about practice, man,” Smith said, according to Cleveland.com. …
