Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh wasn’t about to let a dig by Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith just pass him by. Oh, no, he wasn’t. It’s a Michigan-Ohio State thing and it’s also very, very much a Harbaugh thing. Good to see Director Smith being relevant again after the tattoo fiasco. Welcome back! — Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) March 23, 2016 Yeah, he went straight to the Buckeyes’ tattoo scandal, upping the ante after Smith’s dig earlier Tuesday. The OSU AD told media members that he would consider a spring trip for the football team if “we were jump-starting our program,” a clear shot at Michigan’s recent spring practice in Florida. Smith went on to say that the Buckeyes are “in a different place.” So you can understand why Harbs might blow a gasket and feel the need to respond on Twitter. That’s almost always a bad idea, though, especially after *points to the scoreboard* 42-13 OSU in 2015.
