Ohio State staff worried about Alabama, others flipping five-star CB commit

Five-star Ohio State cornerback commit Shaun Wade once had Alabama in his No. 2 spot, but that has changed. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. Wade, the nation’s No. 3 cornerback from Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.), told SEC Country at the Cam Newton 7 on 7 tournament in Atlanta that he removed Alabama from his No. 2 spot to put the schools behind Ohio State on an equal level. A top five list will be released at the start of his senior season, and the Tide will be in that group. What bodes well for Alabama’s chances at flipping Wade is the fact that his mother is a big Crimson Tide fan. She’s not pushing him toward her favorite school, but she’s let her son know where her allegiances would lie if he ended up signing with a school other than Alabama. “My family could come see me play a lot,” Wade said.” My grandma could see me.
