Ohio State Buckeyes preparing for large 2018 class

Thomas J. Russo-USA TODAY Sports With head coach Thad Matta’s focus turning to in-state players, the Buckeyes are attempting to dominate the state of Ohio in recruiting. With an already experienced team, the Ohio State Buckeyes are preparing for a big 2018 recruiting class. After signing five players in 2016 the Buckeyes are expecting a good mix of young talent to join the team in the coming years. Five Buckeyes players are (currently) guaranteed to not be on the 2018 roster. The Buckeyes already have one verbal commitment for 2018 with Dane Goodwin’s pledge. Goodwin is a 6’4″ shooting guard and is ranked as the third best player in the state of Ohio according to 247Sports. His athleticism is not off the charts, but his ability to attack the basket and his court vision are what make him a great player. Goodwin has shown no signs of decommitment and should be a solid addition for the Buckeyes in 2018. Ohio State’s most recent offer went out to 2018 guard Dwayne Cohill. Following his visit on the 15th the 2018 combo guard received his fifth scholarship offer from the most powerful school in his home state…
